Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Saw Shop Operator in Lubbock, TX. You will set up and operate power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation, contributing to the efficiency of our pallet manufacturing process.

You’ll work Monday through Friday on the 1st shift with competitive pay and benefits. Prior lumber/warehouse experience is preferred and safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing is highly preferred.
• Fast hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Overview

As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll get to setup our builders for success by setting up and operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation! You’ll be the a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process, and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role!

Hourly Pay:

$15.00/hr

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

What You'll Do

• Operate power saws to cut & trim wood pallets

• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations

• Communicate to plant management effectively on a regular basis

• Ability to work overtime as needed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to lift wooden pallets which weigh about 50 lbs. on a regular basis

• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, roofing, experience highly preferred

• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
