Job description

As a Saw Shop Operator, you’ll get to set up our builders for success by operating power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation. You’ll be a vital part of our pallet manufacturing process and we’re looking for a motivated individual to fill this role.

Hourly Pay: $18.00/hr.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Location: Lockport, IL 60441.

• Operate power saws to cut and trim wood pallets.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with plant management on a regular basis.
• Work overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing highly preferred.
• Quick hands, attention to detail, commitment to quality.
• Understanding of basic safety procedures and PPE use.
• Ability to work in extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and airborne particulates.
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 75 lbs and adjust body position for shifts of varying length.
• Ability to use eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes.
• Close, distance, and color vision required.
