Job summary

You will perform grinding, tip replacement, and adjustments to keep equipment properly tensioned and productive, plus assist with inventory and interdepartmental quality troubleshooting. Candidates should have completion of Filer-Fitter 1-3 hours and a high school diploma, with ability to work

Qualifications

• Completion of Filer-Fitter 1-3 hours with required apprenticeship steps.
• Ability to read precision measurement devices.
• Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform duties per rules, regs and JSAs.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards.
• Tip and grind all saws.
• Weld or replace tips and sharpen saws.
• Maintain grinding equipment and filing tools.
• Changes saws and guides.
• Maintain filing room inventory and keep area clean.
• Work with other departments to troubleshoot quality issues.
