Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Saw Filer / Saw Maintenance Technician to safely maintain, repair, and sharpen bandsaws and related sawmill equipment. The role is critical to production, safety, and lumber quality, with a day shift and 40 hours per week.

You will file and sharpen bandsaws, align machines, perform preventive maintenance, and work with carbide and stellite teeth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bandsaw filing or precision millwright experience.
• 3+ years of sawmill experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of saw and tooth geometry.
• Experience with stellite and carbide teeth.
• Knowledge of bandmill alignment, tensioning, and leveling.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Journey filing experience preferred.

$25–$45/hour DOE | Day Shift | 40 hours/week

We are looking for an experienced Saw Filer / Saw Maintenance Technician to safely maintain, repair, and sharpen bandsaws and other sawmill equipment. This role is critical to maintaining production, safety, and consistent lumber quality.

Responsibilities

• File, sharpen, bench, fit, tension, and maintain bandsaws

• Perform saw and machine alignment
