Job summary

Avalign Technologies in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Saw Attendant to keep production running smoothly by cutting and supplying raw materials to work orders. This entry level manufacturing role offers cross-training across machining processes and opportunities to grow with the team.

The position is Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–4:30pm, with a focus on inventory accuracy, timely material availability, and safe, quality-driven work practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, receiving, or material handling is a plus.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in records are essential.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in other production areas.

Responsibilities

• Issue raw materials to the appropriate work orders.

We are looking for a Saw Attendant to help keep production running smoothly by cutting and supplying raw materials to applicable work areas. This role is an important part of the manufacturing process and offers the opportunity to cross-train in other areas, including learning machining processes.

Shift: 1st, Monday - Thursday (6:00am - 4:30pm)

What You'll Do:

• Issue raw materials, including castings, forgings, and bar stock, to the appropriate work orders.
• Complete saw work to support production schedules and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required cycle counts.
• Cross-train in other manufacturing areas as needed, which may include learning machining operations and using inspection equipment.
• Follow established safety procedures and quality standards.
