Position Overview:

Truck drivers work on a crew or out of a yard delivering equipment and materials to and from job sites, and perform duties as directed by the foreman, operating equipment such as backhoes, excavators, vibratory or static plows, trenchers, or directional bore machines in underground utility and pipe installation, removal, or maintenance.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure correct cargo makes it safely to its destination on schedule with proper paperwork.
• Assist crews on job sites with labor-intensive tasks such as hand digging, operating fusion equipment (if qualified), and cleanup.
• Possess the knowledge, skill, and physical ability to perform construction and maintenance duties in the natural gas industry.
• Perform physical functions of the job and operate within short time frames as needed.
• Maintain professional contacts with customers and the public.
• Work well with others.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures per Southeast Connections, LLC standards and client requirements.
• Load and secure materials or equipment for transport, and secure work sites, equipment, and materials at shift end for safety.

Qualifications:

Education Preferred: High school diploma or GED.

Experience Required: At least 3 years of operating experience, knowledge of commercial driving regulations, and ability to maneuver trucks.

Required: Class A CDL with combination vehicle and air brake endorsements, a clean driving record, and current medical card. Must have a strong work ethic, be willing to work in a team, drive long hours, travel regularly, and handle unexpected situations like traffic or weather.
