Job summary

Synectics Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join its Commercial & Business Litigation practice. The attorney will handle a variety of disputes from strategy through trial and appeal, with direct client communication and active involvement in courtroom proceedings.

This in-person role offers meaningful responsibility, opportunities for growth, and exposure to complex civil matters across state and federal courts in Georgia.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of litigation experience.
• Active Georgia Bar admission.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with motions practice and discovery.
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-service skills.
• Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle commercial and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery and document review.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare cases for hearings and trial.
• Participate in trial proceedings and courtroom appearances.
• Prepare appellate briefs and related filings.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, strategy, and developments.
• Appear before Georgia Superior Courts, state courts, the Georgia State-wide Business Court, and U.S. District Courts, as applicable.
• Take ownership of assigned matters and work product while collaborating with senior attorneys.
