Harrington's by the Bay in Traverse City, MI is seeking a full-time Line Cook to join our sauté and grill stations, working on a varied menu from steaks to seafood. You should excel in a busy dinner service and take pride in consistent, great food.

This year-round role pays $18-$23 per hour, with overtime and no breakfast or late-night shifts. Full-time staff receive medical, dental, and vision insurance as part of our loyal, established kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Must have line cook or comparable professional kitchen experience.
• Sauté and/or grill experience strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of temperatures, timing, portioning, and food quality.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily on the sauté and grill stations
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
• Cook steaks, seafood, proteins, pastas, vegetables, sauces, and other menu items accurately and consistently
• Manage multiple tickets and timing during busy service
• Complete station prep and maintain an organized, well-stocked work area
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices
• Communicate and work closely with other cooks, servers, and restaurant leadership
• Assist with nightly features and changing seasonal menu items
• Help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen throughout the shift
