Born from a small restaurant in New Orleans’ Mid-City neighborhood, Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group has grown to operate two brands with over 20 restaurants throughout the Southeast (and still growing!). Job Summary:

Accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products as well as prepare and portion food prior to cooking. Responsible for performing other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates.

What does it take to be a Ruby Krewe Member?

  • A firm belief that butter and bacon make everything better!
  • Able to follow Ruby Standards and recipes consistently – responsible for the quality of products served.
  • Complies with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and front of house krewe members.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
