Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a dynamic SausageWorks Professor to create a fun guest experience and maintain high standards on the floor. You will lead, sample, and sell while ensuring department integrity and proper inventory, safety, and staffing practices.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, in-store events, and meeting sales targets in a fast-paced grocery environment. This position requires energy, teamwork and the ability to work in front of guests.

• Knowledge of deli and SausageWorks operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Ability to work with computers.

Responsibilities

• Become the Sausage Professor on the sales floor with a strong sausage focus.
• Interact with guests and hosts in a fun, friendly environment.
• Ensure staff provides engaging service.
• Engage guests with samples and suggestive selling.
• Demonstrate superior guest service at all times.
• Perform activities in the Sausage Professor role as described.
• Help achieve sales, shrink and profit goals for SausageWorks.
• Maintain inventory and supplies for the department.
• Operate department per merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in the department.
• Provide guidance and training to SausageWorks staff.
• Handle product prep, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Make PA announcements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
