Soccer Shots is an engaging children’s soccer program focused on character development. We positively impact children’s lives on and off the field through our coaching, communication, and curriculum. Our programs introduce soccer to children aged 2-10 at preschools, daycare centers, private elementary schools, and local parks in San Joaquin and Stanislaus County.

Details

We’re seeking part-time coaches to lead 5-20 classes per week, with a season-long commitment of 9-12 weeks. Classes are held from 9 am to 5 pm, each lasting 25-40 minutes with up to 14 children. We provide training, equipment, and curriculum for the season.

Note: Only local candidates are considered; no work visa sponsorship is available. All candidates must pass FBI & DOJ clearance via Live Scan.

Qualifications

• Professional & Responsible: Ability to communicate professionally, punctual, courteous, well-groomed, self-motivated, dependable.
• Fun & Creative: Enthusiastic, goofy, imaginative with children aged 2-10.
• Patient & Empathetic: Willing to work through behavior and learning challenges.
• Soccer Knowledge & Athleticism: Prior soccer experience preferred but not required.
• Transportation & Cell Phone: Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and personal mobile with data.
• Background Check: Clear Live Scan record.
• Education: High school diploma or GDE minimum; bonus if you have 12 ECE units or soccer coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Coach and manage sessions at various locations, each 25-40 minutes, with up to 14 children.
• Deliver our curriculum enthusiastically, focusing on skill and character development.
• Provide excellent service to staff, directors, and parents.
• Arrive 10-15 minutes early for each session.
• Maintain equipment and manage class rosters.
• Complete training and evaluations, receive feedback.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Commit to the 9-12 week season.

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours are M-F from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm.
• Training period pay: $18 per session.
• Post-training pay: $20+ per session.
• Weekend-only positions available.

Location

Coaches are needed in Tracy, Stockton, Modesto, and surrounding areas in San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.
