Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a Saturday Recreation Assistant to provide a safe, fun, and engaging recreation experience for participants with developmental disabilities. This weekend role runs 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays during the school year, offering activities such as field trips, swimming, crafts, games, and cooking.

You will support participants during activities, assist with meals, toileting when needed, and help keep program areas organized.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class E Chauffeur’s License and the minimum liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, support, and supervision to participants with disabilities.
• Assist participants during activities at the recreation center, pool, field trips, and other activities.
• Assist with toileting and diaper changes when needed.
• Assist participants with lunches and help clean up afterwards; maintain program areas.
• Attend required trainings (Mandt, CPR, First Aid, Med Class) and Open House.
• Complete a daily log summarizing activities for assigned participants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
