Position Overview

Open Sky is seeking compassionate individuals eager to grow a rewarding career in human services. The Saturday Adventure Club, a service of Open Sky's Family Support Center, serves adults with disabilities and Autism and their families in the Blackstone Valley area, from Worcester to Providence. Located in Whitinsville, MA at the Whitin Mill Complex, this respite service supports families caring for loved ones with disabilities/Autism.

Salary

USD $20.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate community-based fun and social activities on two Saturdays per month.
• Promote inclusive, creative, recreational activities to empower independence and foster social, peer, and community relationships.
• Support individuals in developing natural social skills and community connections.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with family members, community organizations, and support networks.
• Treat individuals with respect, dignity, and compassion at all times.
• Utilize Positive Behavioral Supports (training provided).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience engaging adults with disabilities and Autism in social and community activities (preferred).
• Reliability, patience, respect, compassion, willingness to learn, and a passion for helping others.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
