Job summary

Contec Inc. in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Saturation Technician to help achieve production and quality goals in the nonwoven saturation area. You will set up, assemble, troubleshoot and repair saturation equipment and perform in-process inspections of saturated products.

The role requires reading and interpreting process documents, documenting work in the IFS system, and coordinating with Saturation Operators. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform basic changes on equipment is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

The primary purpose of the Saturation Technician position is to deliver specified production and quality goals by performing the setup, assembly, troubleshooting/repair of assigned equipment, and in process inspections of saturated products produced in the nonwoven saturation area.

The employee is occasionally required to be in a stationary position, stoop or access low lying parts of the machine. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Associate’s degree (A.A). or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
