The selected candidate will analyze foreign satellite navigation architectures, signals, system performance, modernization efforts, and emerging threats to ensure U.S. decision-makers maintain awareness of global space-enabled navigation capabilities.

This role combines technical engineering expertise, analytic rigor, and intelligence tradecraft to assess current and future foreign space-based navigation systems and their military and civilian impacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze foreign GNSS and satellite navigation systems including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and regional PNT architectures.
  • Evaluate satellite constellation designs, orbital configurations, signal structures, navigation payloads, and system performance characteristics.
  • Assess foreign advancements in navigation warfare (NAVWAR), anti‑jam, anti‑spoofing, and resilient PNT technologies.
  • Conduct technical assessments of satellite launches, constellation growth, modernization initiatives, and operational readiness.
  • Integrate intelligence reporting, open‑source information, telemetry data, and technical measurements into analytic products.
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative assessments of PNT system capabilities, limitations, vulnerabilities, and operational impacts.
  • Produce intelligence reports, white papers, briefings, and decision‑support products for government leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineers, intelligence analysts, mission partners, and operational organizations across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
  • Support modeling, simulation, and data‑driven evaluations of satellite navigation performance and capabilities.
  • Present findings to senior government and military stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in satellite systems, space systems engineering, GNSS, PNT, signals analysis, intelligence analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Knowledge of satellite navigation concepts, orbital mechanics, RF communications, or signal processing.
  • Experience analyzing technical data and translating findings into actionable assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community, Space Force, Air Force, or DoD missions.
  • Knowledge of GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, or NavIC systems.
  • Familiarity with navigation message structures, signal design, and PNT performance metrics.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, STK, AGI/Ansys tools, or other modeling and simulation environments.
  • Understanding of electronic warfare, spectrum analysis, jamming, spoofing, or cyber effects on navigation systems.
  • Experience developing intelligence assessments, capability analyses, or threat characterizations.
  • Familiarity with GEOINT, MASINT, SIGINT, or all‑source intelligence methodologies.
Desired Competencies
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information into concise intelligence products.
  • Effective briefing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic mission environment.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
