Job description

Title: Satellite Navigation (SatNav) Analysis Engineer

Location: Beavercreek, OH (On-site/Hybrid based on mission requirements)

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI required. Eligibility for additional accesses may be required.

Position Summary: KBR is seeking a highly motivated Satellite Navigation (SatNav) Analysis Engineer to support intelligence analysis of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) and related positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) capabilities. The selected candidate will analyze foreign satellite navigation architectures, signals, system performance, modernization efforts, and emerging threats to ensure U.S. decision-makers maintain awareness of global space-enabled navigation capabilities. This role combines technical engineering expertise, analytic rigor, and intelligence tradecraft to assess current and future foreign space-based navigation systems and their military and civilian impacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze foreign GNSS and satellite navigation systems including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and regional PNT architectures.
  • Evaluate satellite constellation designs, orbital configurations, signal structures, navigation payloads, and system performance characteristics.
  • Assess foreign advancements in navigation warfare (NAVWAR), anti-jam, anti-spoofing, and resilient PNT technologies.
  • Conduct technical assessments of satellite launches, constellation growth, modernization initiatives, and operational readiness.
  • Integrate intelligence reporting, open-source information, telemetry data, and technical measurements into analytic products.
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative assessments of PNT system capabilities, limitations, vulnerabilities, and operational impacts.
  • Produce intelligence reports, white papers, briefings, and decision-support products for government leadership.
  • Collaborate with engineers, intelligence analysts, mission partners, and operational organizations across the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
  • Support modeling, simulation, and data-driven evaluations of satellite navigation performance and capabilities.
  • Present findings to senior government and military stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in satellite systems, space systems engineering, GNSS, PNT, signals analysis, intelligence analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Knowledge of satellite navigation concepts, orbital mechanics, RF communications, or signal processing.
  • Experience analyzing technical data and translating findings into actionable assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community, Space Force, Air Force, or DoD missions.
  • Knowledge of GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, or NavIC systems.
  • Familiarity with navigation message structures, signal design, and PNT performance metrics.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, STK, AGI/Ansys tools, or other modeling and simulation environments.
  • Understanding of electronic warfare, spectrum analysis, jamming, spoofing, or cyber effects on navigation systems.
  • Experience developing intelligence assessments, capability analyses, or threat characterizations.
  • Familiarity with GEOINT, MASINT, SIGINT, or all-source intelligence methodologies.
