Job summary

DIRECTV is seeking Installation Technicians to install and service our voice, data and video services in the designated service areas. You will educate customers on features, verify services work, and promote DIRECTV while delivering best-in-class customer support.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willing to work day, evening or night tours; overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends and holidays as required.
• May require travel for out-of-area work which may include overnight travel.
• May require drug testing as mandated by state and federal requirements.
• May require a security check.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have satisfactory results from the Premise Technician Assessment Technical.
• Complete a Physical Abilities Evaluation (PAE) – lift up to 80 pounds; weight limit for ladder climbing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair satellite equipment inside or outside.
• Educate customers on the features and functionality of the services.
• Verify all services are working and demonstrate, sell and bill video service to customers.
• Perform work in buildings, attics, basements, and crawl spaces (bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching).
• Use a company PC to retrieve and complete orders.
• Work outside in all kinds of weather with proper safety gear and procedures.
• Drive a company vehicle or report directly to the work location.
