Job summary
DIRECTV is seeking an Installation Technician for customer sites, with home dispatch and field work to install and repair equipment. You will educate customers on features, demonstrate services, and ensure everything is working while representing the DIRECTV brand.
The role requires driving, flexibility for day/evening/night shifts, and may involve travel, weather exposure, and safety checks. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.
Qualifications
- Valid state driver's license or equivalent required.
- Completion of satisfactory driving record check.
- Willing to work day, evening, or night tours, including overtime and weekends.
- Travel may be required for out-of-area assignments.
- Drug testing may be required.
- Security check may be required.
- May require driving a manual transmission vehicle.
- Ability to work outside in all kinds of weather.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and pass PAEs.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair satellite equipment at customer sites.
- Educate customers on the features and functionality of the services.
- Verify all services are working and demonstrate, sell and bill video service.
- Perform work in buildings, attics, basements and crawl spaces.
- Use a company PC to retrieve and complete orders.
- Drive a company vehicle or report directly to the work location.
