Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing company, is seeking a Ground Software Engineer (Mid Career) to maintain and develop satellite command-and-control software, write requirements with SMEs, and decompose them into roadmaps developed and tested with end users.

The role is 100% onsite with 1st shift. Candidates must be US citizens eligible for a security clearance; a Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/AE or related field is required. Competitive base pay with a Total Rewards package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/AE or related field.
• Experience designing and developing software in a production environment.
• Demonstrated experience writing scripts and backend software applications.
• Must be able to obtain US citizenship and a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of large-scale ground software and mission control systems
• Interacts with Millennium staff to support testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations
• Integrates Millennium software applications into Government-furnished software and infrastructure
• Executes integrated system test events bridging Millennium-developed products and Government-furnished systems
• Implements mission data processing applications into existing systems to support payloads and end data users
• Guides junior developers through development tasks and validation/verification testing
