Job summary

Hydrosat Inc. seeks a Product Operations Specialist to support the satellite data product and imaging operations for our on-orbit constellation.

You will work with Product, Mission Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams to fulfill imagery requests accurately and on time, while developing processes and tools for scaling operations. Responsibilities include coordinating imaging tasking, monitoring order fulfillment, and building KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial, Computer Science, Aerospace, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant operational experience in space mission operations, Earth observation, geospatial tech, or another intensive technical environment.
• Experience with APIs, RESTful services, and platform integrations.
• Experience in a product-facing role, including working with external stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Python scripting, Jupyter notebooks, and familiarity with AWS.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth tech environment.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day satellite imaging tasking and fulfillment, translating orders into executable acquisition plans and driving imagery to delivery.
• Manage imagery order fulfillment and priorities for internal/external customers with clear visibility for stakeholders.
• Evaluate tasking feasibility and communicate constraints or alternatives when requirements cannot be met.
• Develop operational metrics, KPIs, and reporting for tasking activity, forecasts, and product operations health.
• Create and improve scripts, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and scalability of satellite tasking.
• Collaborate with Mission Operations to understand spacecraft activities and calibration requirements.
• Support customer platform operations including user provisioning, access, entitlements, and KYC screening.
• Coordinate with external vendors to support satellite data product operations.
• Be part of weekly on-call rotation approximately every 4-6 weeks.
