Qualifications

• Ph.D. in meteorology, atmospheric science, or relevant field of study.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in atmospheric data assimilation.
• Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (Fortran, C++, Python).

Responsibilities

• Development and testing of assimilation of hyperspectral sounding radiance data (MTG-IRS).
• Development and testing of satellite retrieval data assimilation and related products.
• Tune and optimize satellite data assimilation within MPAS-JEDI RRFS.
