Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima Company, seeks a Satellite Controller Technician (Trainee) in Kaena Point, HI. The trainee will execute actions necessary to conduct satellite operations and maintenance to sustain the operability of communications-electronics equipment at the Remote Tracking Stations.

Responsibilities include configuring, operating and maintaining systems during satellite support, directing operational events, and logging daily activity.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
• Associate's degree in Electronics, or 2 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Must possess strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be familiar with and able to operate electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.
• Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.
• Must have COMPTIA Cloud + and/or SEC + or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
