Job summary

Army National Guard is seeking Satellite Communication Systems Operator-Maintainers to install, operate, and maintain strategic satellite communications. You will log messages, maintain equipment, and respond to emergencies while supporting mission success.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Paid training and various education benefits are offered, with drill-weekend compensation for non-prior service candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Interest in communications equipment and satellite systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Transmit, receive, and log messages according to military procedures.
• Install, maintain, and operate satellite communications equipment.
• Provide guidance on technical issues to Soldiers and respond to emergencies.
