Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks a Satellite Communication Systems Operator-Maintainer to install, operate, and maintain strategic and tactical multi-channel satellite communications. You will transmit, receive, and log messages, support encoding/decoding, and operate telephone switchboards in support of mission readiness.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT); you will be paid during drill weekends and eligible for tuition assistance,

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Age 17–35.
• Pass a physical exam.
• Citizenship requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stressed and unstressed network operations.
• Maintain satellite communications equipment.
• Prepare system and equipment related forms and reports.
