Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Lexington, Virginia, is seeking a Communication Systems Engineer to support the MIT LL team.

You will develop baseband communication link and channel models for SATCOM systems, and analyze system performance to enable reliable communications across wide distances. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of applicable experience, and strong MATLAB skills.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance
Proficiency in MATLAB
Bachelor's Degree
6 years of applicable experience
Understanding of digital modulation techniques and forward error correction coding implementation
Experience with signal processing algorithm implementation to support link establishment and closure
Experience with creating SATCOM system performance models
Good oral and communication skills
Outgoing and energetic with the ability to work within a team environment
Familiarity with Python (desired)
Modeling hardware impairments (desired)
Strong written and oral communications
Willing/able to travel up to CONUS 25%
MS in EE, CS, or Physics (desired)

Responsibilities

Development of baseband communication link and channel models for SATCOM systems

Processing and analysis of test data captured in hardware tests
