Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals seeks a hands-on RF engineer with SATCOM focus to conduct site surveys, install and test RF/SATCOM hardware, and maintain wide‑band links. You will lead inspection teams, generate engineering plans, and document maintenance records.

Travel up to 15% worldwide is required; you will work with cross‑functional teams, apply anti‑jamming techniques, and mentor site personnel while ensuring safety and high reliability of systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience as a HDE in integrated circuit or microelectronic component design or reverse engineering.
• Experience with RF design, SATCOM systems, installation and testing.
• Ability to conduct site surveys, install and test RF/SATCOM hardware.
• Ability to prepare engineering plans, as‑built docs, test reports, and maintenance records.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% worldwide for installations and maintenance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical reports and briefing packages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, climb antennas, rack and align hardware, and operate earth‑terminal control consoles to establish and maintain RF links.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot malfunctions; apply anti‑jamming techniques and safety procedures.
• Produce AutoCAD/Visio drawings, block diagrams, schematics, and technical design packages; prepare engineering plans and maintenance records.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (system architects, PMs, test sites) for deployments and testing.
