$10.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Job Title: Remote SAT/ACT Tutor (Contract)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based applicants preferred)

Job Type: Contract / Part-Time

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

About Us:

We are a mission-driven educational organization committed to helping students unlock their full potential and get accepted to their dream school through personalized academic support. We specialize in college readiness and we are looking for passionate and experienced SAT/ACT tutors to join our team on a contract basis. Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to conduct a mock tutoring session.

Position Overview:

We are seeking engaging and knowledgeable SAT/ACT tutors who can deliver high-quality instruction remotely. You will work 1-on-1 or in small group sessions with high school students, providing customized test prep that builds skills, confidence, and results. Ability to work separately as a college admissions expert is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide online tutoring for the SAT and/or ACT through a video conferencing platform
• Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses to develop personalized learning plans
• Deliver effective strategies for test-taking, time management, and content mastery
• Assign and review practice materials between sessions to support progress
• Track student performance and provide regular updates to parents/guardians as needed
• Maintain professionalism and a student-centered approach in all interactions

Qualifications:

• Strong standardized test scores (top 10% preferred in SAT or ACT)
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience required (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, encouraging teaching style
• Comfortable using digital tools (Zoom, Google Docs, etc.) for virtual instruction
• Ability to commit to consistent weekly sessions during afternoons, evenings, or weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with both SAT and ACT formats and content areas
• Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds
• Availability to work during peak tutoring seasons (fall and spring)
• Admission to top U.S. school
