High Associates is seeking a Commercial Building Maintenance Technician in Sarasota, FL. The role supports building upkeep across a busy property, handling routine service requests, basic A/C and exterior maintenance, and coordination with subcontractors when needed.

The position requires 3–5 years of related electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC experience, plus a high school diploma or GED. It offers full-time hours, weekend work optional, and benefits as part of The High Companies family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Approximately 3-5 years of related experience in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• 3-5 years of HVAC experience required, certifications ideal.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Customer Service Representative to expedite service orders and complete paperwork.
• Perform basic A/C maintenance and outside maintenance tasks (pressure washing, sign cleaning, gutter cleaning, debris removal).
• Respond to tenant repair calls, perform repairs, or coordinate subcontractors if needed.
• Replace light bulbs/ballasts and adjust timers; assist with water extraction from leaks.
• Replace ceiling tiles; perform occasional overhead door maintenance and minor repairs.
• Conduct weekly curbside trash pickup and manage small project needs.
• Maintain records of building items to expedite part replacements; coordinate electrical/plumbing changes as required.
