Peraton is seeking a motivated Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imagery Analyst to support evaluation and characterization of SAR imagery. This role requires expertise in the SAR lifecycle and collaboration with teams to enhance sensor capabilities and product quality.
The ideal candidate will have extensive SAR imagery experience, excellent communication skills, a Top Secret clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree. The salary range for this position is between $104,000 and $166,000, influenced by various factors including experience and geographic location.
We are seeking a motivated Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Imagery Analyst to support the evaluation and characterization of SAR imagery for current and emerging sensor systems. The successful candidate will assess SAR image quality, identify artifacts and anomalies, and evaluate the impact of system and processing changes on exploitation performance. This role requires expertise throughout the SAR tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED) lifecycle, as well as a strong understanding of SAR phenomenology and image interpretation.
The analyst will collaborate with engineers and mission partners to evaluate new sensor capabilities, validate product quality, and ensure imagery meets operational exploitation requirements. Experience with SAR image quality metrics, exploitation software, and National Image Interpretability Rating Scale (NIIRS) principles is highly desirable. This position plays a critical role in improving the performance, quality, and operational utility of SAR systems supporting our customer's intelligence mission.

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
