Job summary

Peraton seeks an Imagery Analyst to join our National Security program, evaluating imagery quality from multiple sensors (PAN, IR, MSI, SAR, FMV) and quantifying improvements after system updates.

You will leverage NIIRS concepts, perform imagery exploitation, and support operations to enhance customer capabilities. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical/scientific field or related STEM discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years imagery analysis experience in IC at national level.
  • Top Secret clearance with willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI and poly.
  • Strong background in SAR imagery tasking, processing, exploitation and dissemination.
  • Experience with imagery exploitation tools and NIIRS image quality concepts.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the visual quality of imagery for new systems and quantify changes due to updates.
  • Work with sensors (PAN, IR, MSI, SAR, FMV) and related imagery products.
  • Apply NIIRS scales and image quality concepts to assessments.
  • Support exploitation operations to improve imagery systems for customers.
  • Communicate findings clearly and work both independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated IMAGERY ANALYST. We are looking for support in evaluating the visual quality of imagery for new systems and to quantify the changes in product quality of existing products due to system changes. Candidates will need to work on various sensors (PAN, IR, MSI, SAR, FMV, etc.) and products. Knowledge or experience in imagery exploitation, artifact/anomaly identification, and quality scales (NIIRS) is a benefit to the position. This position is critical to supporting exploitation operations by improving the quality and functionality of imagery systems used by our customer.

Required Experience
  • Must have a minimum of a Top Secret clearance and willing to upgrade clearance to TS/SCI and sit for and pass a polygraph within 30 days of employment or at customers request- Contract requires TS/SCI with poly.
  • 5+ years Imagery analysis experience in the Intelligence Community at the national level.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program; an additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong background in SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) imagery tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination chain
  • Attended either an Imagery Geospatial Intelligence Training Program or DoD equivalent
  • Knowledge of soft copy exploitation functionalities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of RemoteView, IEC, SOCET GXP, and other imagery display software, and common office software to include PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, word processing
  • Knowledge of the intelligence collection process
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn, solve problems and perform in a dynamic work environment
Preferred Skillset
  • Bachelors degree
  • Understanding and application of image quality standards (e.g. NIIRS), scales, metrics and image quality equations.
  • Knowledge of NSG tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) image chain
  • Knowledge of sensor imaging systems, products, and exploitation processes

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
