Along with our partner, we are seeking a highly skilled SAP Workflow Consultant with strong expertise in Procurement (MM/P2P) and hands‑on experience in SAP Workflow, ABAP development, AP automation, and document‑centric business processes. This role blends functional workflow consulting with hands‑on SAP development, with opportunities to work with SAP BTP, AI‑driven automation, and document management technologies. You will work across customer implementations, workflow optimization projects, and next‑generation SAP‑integrated automation products.
This is not a traditional workflow‑only role, it’s a hybrid workflow + procurement + ABAP development + automation position, with exposure to modern SAP cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Workflow Consulting:
- Design, configure, and optimize SAP procurement workflows (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Approvals, Vendor Management).
- Implement and enhance SAP Business Workflow or Flexible Workflow for P2P processes.
- Analyze procurement pain points and recommend workflow improvements, automation opportunities, and process redesign.
- Collaborate with functional teams (MM, FI, AP) to ensure workflows align with business rules and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot workflow issues, approval routing problems, and integration gaps between procurement and AP automation.
- Develop and maintain ABAP OO, BADIs, enhancement frameworks, workflow exits, and custom approval logic.
- Build and support ArchiveLink and SAP ILM WebDAV integrations for document management.
- Enhance SAP‑integrated solutions for AP automation, document workflows, and related processes.
- Work with PBS ContentLink, SAP Content Server, and related document storage platforms.
- Contribute to SAP BTP applications and integrations, including Cloud Foundry, CAP, SAP UI5/Fiori Elements, destination services, and APIs.
- Support customer‑facing portals for workflow visibility, document access, and AP automation.
- Integrate SAP with AI/IDP services such as SAP DOX, ABBYY, Kofax/Tungsten, and Microsoft Read OCR.
- Develop REST‑based integrations between BTP and SAP S/4HANA or ECC.
Product Engineering & Customer Delivery:
- Lead technical design sessions and gather workflow requirements.
- Deliver end‑to‑end SAP workflow and automation solutions.
- Support customers using SAP‑integrated automation tools (UiPath, Kofax, ABBYY, Tungsten).
- Participate in demos, scoping calls, and post‑deployment training.
- Produce audit‑friendly documentation and workflow architecture diagrams.
Infrastructure, Servers & Connectivity:
- Work with SAP Content Server, PBS, and Windows/Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot connectivity between SAP, BTP, content servers, and external automation platforms.
- Understand firewalls, SSL/TLS, certificates, and reverse proxies for workflow integrations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of SAP Workflow experience (classic or Flexible Workflow).
- Strong understanding of Procurement (MM/P2P) and AP‑related business processes.
- Strong ABAP development experience (OO, BADIs, enhancements, workflow exits).
- Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting SAP workflow solutions.
- Experience with ArchiveLink, WebDAV, PBS ContentLink, or similar document management technologies.
- Strong debugging, problem‑solving, and customer‑facing communication skills.
- Experience with REST integrations, JSON, HTTP protocols, and modern API patterns.
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
- Hands‑on experience with SAP BTP, UI5, CAP, Cloud Foundry, or related services.
- RPA experience (UiPath preferred).
- Exposure to AP automation solutions (OpenText VIM, Ariba, or similar).
- Experience with SAP Content Server, OpenText, or PBS software.
- Familiarity with SAP AI services (AI Core, AI Launchpad, Joule).
- Networking/security fundamentals (SSL, certificates, proxies).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
You thrive at the intersection of workflow, procurement, automation, and SAP development. You can move seamlessly between functional workflow design, ABAP enhancements, and customer‑facing consulting while bringing strong hands‑on development skills. You communicate clearly, lead technical discussions confidently, and enjoy building solutions that streamline procurement and AP processes. Experience with modern SAP technologies such as BTP is a plus, but strong workflow and development expertise is the priority.
*Please note our partner is only looking for full‑time dedicated team members who are eager to fully integrate within their team.
- A fully remote position with a structured schedule that supports work‑life balance.
- Work on International Customer Implementations.
