Qualifications

• 10+ years’ SAP implementation and go-live support experience, specifically with SAP S/4HANA.
• 10+ years’ configuration experience with SAP VMS and SAP SD.
• Experience with Procure to Pay (PTP) and Ariba preferred.
• At least 1 end-to-end SAP VMS implementation completed.
• 10+ years preparing process and functional design documents in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Act as the SAP VMS and SAP SD/OTC Functional Lead in a remote setting.
• Lead the functional and solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA OTC processes.
• Gather business requirements and design/implement SAP solutions.
• Ensure designs align with SAP best practices and support high-volume supply chain operations.
• Develop WRICEFs and support development teams for enhancements or new initiatives.
• Provide hands-on SAP VMS, SD, OTC expertise including PTP and FI integration.
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation across configuration, analysis, development, testing and issue resolution.

Job Summary – SAP VMS (Vehicle Management System) SD/OTC Lead - REMOTE

• Act as the SAP VMS (Vehicle Management System) and SAP SD/OTC (Sales & Distribution / Order to Cash) Functional Lead within a remote, automotive industry environment.
• Lead the functional and solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA OTC processes, focusing on Distribution and Vehicle Processing business operations.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Vehicle Processing Center (VPC), operational teams, IT, Application Managed Services (AMS) partners, and SAP COE (Center of Excellence) functional leads.
• Ensure solution design and configuration aligns with SAP best practices and supports high-volume supply chain operations.
• Gather business requirements, translate into SAP application requirements, and design/implement SAP solutions with SAP COE team.
• Provide hands‑on SAP VMS, SD, and OTC expertise, including integration with PTP (Procure to Pay) and FI (Finance).
• Support SAP S/4HANA implementation, including configuration, analysis, development, testing, and problem resolution.
• Collaborate with AMS and technical teams to proactively resolve system defects and implement required changes.
• Develop and document functional designs (WRICEFs) and support development team for enhancements or new initiatives.
• Research production issues/enhancements, recommend alternatives, and drive resolution using expert SAP knowledge.
• Stay updated on SAP releases, patches, and OSS notes; apply as needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to end users and collaborate with architecture, development, BASIS, Security, and AMS teams.
• Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, policies, and guidelines when handling customer/consumer data.
• Mentor and provide leadership within the SAP functional team, guiding organizational change management for SAP adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 10+ years’ SAP implementation and go‑live support experience, specifically with SAP S/4HANA.
• 10+ years’ configuration experience with SAP VMS and SAP SD.
• At least 1 end‑to‑end SAP VMS implementation.
• 10+ years preparing process and functional design documents, mapping business processes in SAP.
• Primary expertise in SAP SD OTC (Order to Cash).
• Experience with Procure to Pay (PTP) and Ariba preferred.
• Automotive industry background required.
