Role: SAP Vendor Warranty Management Specialist

Location: Florida/ Remote

Duration: Contract

We are seeking an experienced SAP Vendor Warranty Management Specialist with a strong background in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) and MRO operations. The role focuses on enabling organizations to effectively manage vendor warranties for aircraft, engines, and components using ECC. The consultant will design solutions that ensure warranty-covered repairs, vendor recoveries, and compliance with aviation/defense regulations, supporting both operational readiness and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Configuration
  • Configure vendor warranty master data for aircraft parts, LRUs (line-replaceable units), rotables, and engines.
  • Link warranty terms to equipment masters, serialized parts, procurement contracts, and NATO part numbers.
  • Embed warranty checks within EAM/MRO processes: maintenance notifications, shop repair orders, service entry sheets, and depot-level overhaul activities.
  • Enable warranty coverage validation at the time of work order creation, goods issue, or service confirmation.
• Warranty Enforcement in MRO
  • Automate warranty eligibility determination during shop visits.
  • Manage warranty recoveries from vendors (no-charge repairs, replacement parts, or financial settlement).
• Integration
  • Integrate warranty data into procurement contracts and ensure flow-down to suppliers/vendors.
  • Work with Engineering, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to capture warranty conditions at source and enforce them during operational use.
• Analytics & Reporting
  • Deliver dashboards for active vs. expired vendor warranties across fleets and bases.
  • Track vendor performance (response time, recovery value, repeated failures).
  • Enable cost avoidance analysis for warranty recoveries (spares, engine shop repairs, depot costs).

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years SAP experience, with at least 2-3 years in Vendor Warranty, SAP EAM/PM, and MRO operations.
• Strong knowledge of:
• SAP EAM/PM (equipment masters, serialized tracking, maintenance orders).
• SAP MM/Procurement (contracts, POs, vendor master).
• Warranty object modeling for aerospace parts & assemblies.
• Hands-on experience in aircraft/engine/component warranty processes within MRO programs.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA innovations (Fiori warranty apps, embedded analytics).
• Exposure to defense compliance (traceability, auditability, NATO stock/part numbers).
• Candidate should have expertise in following areas (MC-4 or SME level).
• Master Warranty definition pertaining to Technical Objects.
• Calendar-Based & Performance-Based Warranty Alerts.
• Customer/Vendor Contracts, and Over & Above agreements.
• Different Warranty Types Repair, Replacement, Etc.
• Warranty Claims Processing leading to Vendor Invoicing and Customer Billing.
• Should be able to lead design discussions with client SMEs and other stakeholders.
• Should have experience writing detailed Design/Build documents within the Workstreams.
• Configuration Rationale Documents.
• Functional Specifications.
• Test Scripts, etc

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP iMRO (Aerospace & Defense Add-on) for warranty & repair.
• Prior work on OEM/depot-level repair programs
• Experience with supplier collaboration platforms for warranty adjudication.
