Job summary

GAC Solutions in Atlanta is seeking an experienced SAP TM functional consultant to lead full-lifecycle implementations, configure key TM areas, and manage end-to-end testing and integrations with ERP systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with carrier tendering, freight settlement, transportation planning, and master data management, with a focus on delivering robust SAP TM solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ full-lifecycle SAP TM implementations as a functional consultant.
• Hands-on configuration in carrier tendering, freight settlement, transportation planning, dock scheduling, and event management.
• Freight agreement and rate table setup including multi-dimensional rating and fuel surcharge configuration.
• Master data configuration: business partners, locations, transportation zones, lanes, vehicle/equipment types, resources.
• SAP TM testing with end-to-end scenarios covering order-to-delivery, tendering, execution and settlement.
• ERP-to-TM integration touchpoints: sales orders triggering transportation demands, delivery-to-freight-order linkage, PGI triggers, and FI/CO posting.
• Ability to write functional specifications for BAdI/BRF+ enhancements.
• Leading workshops with business users — translating current processes to SAP TM approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead workshops with business users to capture requirements and translate them into SAP TM configurations.
• Configure SAP TM modules per business needs and ensure integration with ERP.
• Develop and execute end-to-end test scenarios for order-to-delivery, tendering, and settlement.
• Write clear functional specifications for BAdI/BRF+ enhancements.
• Coordinate ERP-to-TM integration touchpoints and ensure data consistency.

• 2+ full-lifecycle SAP TM implementations as a functional consultant — configuration, testing, and go-live support
• Hands-on configuration experience in at least 3 of these areas: carrier tendering, freight settlement (calculation sheets and rate tables), transportation planning, dock scheduling, event management
• Freight agreement and rate table setup — understanding of multi-dimensional rating (by lane, equipment type, weight break, commodity, carrier) and fuel surcharge configuration
• Master data configuration: business partners, locations, transportation zones, lanes, vehicle/equipment types, and resources
• SAP TM testing — ability to build end-to-end test scenarios covering order-to-delivery, tendering, execution, and settlement
• Working knowledge of ERP-to-TM integration touchpoints: sales orders triggering transportation demands, delivery-to-freight-order linkage, PGI triggers, and FI/CO posting from freight settlement
• Ability to write clear functional specifications for BAdI/BRF+ enhancements
• Comfortable leading workshops with business users — translating “how we do it today” into “how SAP TM will handle it
