Job summary

GlobalSource IT is seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Analyst to optimize end-to-end transportation processes within SAP. You will configure and maintain SAP TM functionality, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with logistics and cross‑functional teams to improve operations.

The role involves integration with OTC, STP, EWM, FICO, PTM, BN4L/Freight Collaboration, and GTT, plus training and documenting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's is a plus.
• 5–7+ years with SAP Transportation Management (TM).
• Hands-on configuration, implementation, support, and optimization of SAP TM.
• Understanding end-to-end transportation processes: planning, execution, costing, settlement.
• Experience integrating SAP TM with OTC, STP, EWM, FICO, PTM, BN4L and GTT.

Responsibilities

SAP Transportation Management (TM) Analyst

Summary

The SAP Transportation Management (TM) Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing end-to-end transportation processes within SAP, including transportation planning, execution, freight settlement, and integration with related business processes.

This role will configure and maintain SAP TM functionality, troubleshoot system issues, support users, and partner closely with logistics and cross-functional teams to improve transportation operations. The analyst will also support integrations between SAP TM and other SAP modules and solutions, including OTC, STP, EWM, FICO, PTM, BN4L/Freight Collaboration, and Global Track and Trace (GTT).

Key Responsibilities

SAP TM Configuration & Support

• Configure and support SAP TM processes, including freight units and freight orders.
• Maintain freight agreements, rate tables, calculation sheets, transportation lanes, carriers, equipment types, zones, calendars, and related master data.
• Configure transportation charge calculations for both shipper and carrier processes.
• Troubleshoot system issues, resolve errors, and provide ongoing functional support to end users.
• Create and maintain functional documentation, process documentation, and training materials.

Transportation Planning & Execution

• Support manual and automated transportation planning, including route, carrier, and cost optimization.
• Manage carrier communication and integration.
• Monitor transportation execution across pickup, in-transit, and delivery activities.
• Support integrations with small-parcel carriers such as FedEx.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
• Configure and support freight cost calculation and settlement processes.
• Implement and maintain freight settlement and invoice reconciliation processes.
• Support integration with SAP FICO for carrier invoice processing and financial settlement.
• Support BN4L/Freight Collaboration and GTT setup and integration with SAP TM.
• Integrate SAP TM with OTC and STP processes to support outbound and inbound transportation flows.
• Support SAP TM and EWM integration for effective warehouse and transportation coordination.
• Collaborate across OTC, STP, EWM, PTM, FICO, and other functional areas to ensure seamless end-to-end process integration.
• Participate in SAP implementations, enhancements, rollouts, testing, and training activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders and logistics teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
• Provide training and ongoing support to logistics and transportation users.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and increased automation.

Analytics & Reporting

• Analyze transportation performance, freight costs, delays, and operational trends.
• Support reporting and analytics using SAP Fiori applications, embedded analytics, and other available reporting tools.
• Provide actionable insights to improve transportation performance and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
• 5–7+ years of experience working with SAP Transportation Management (TM).
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP TM configuration, implementation, support, and process optimization.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end transportation processes, including planning, execution, carrier management, freight costing, and settlement.
• Experience integrating SAP TM with related modules and processes, particularly OTC, STP, EWM, FICO, and PTM.
• Experience with carrier integrations, transportation rates, freight agreements, and transportation master data.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.
• Experience with BN4L/Freight Collaboration and GTT is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, logistics, production, and supply chain business processes.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, logistics teams, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP resources.
• Strong communication, documentation, training, and end-user support skills.
