SAP Techno-Functional Consultant (ABAP & Logistics Module Specialist)

You have the opportunity to join our team to face business challenges in a dynamic environment with close collaboration between the team and business stakeholders.

Job Description

As an SAP Techno-Functional Consultant specializing in ABAP and Logistics Modules, (SAP Business Workflow knowledge beneficial), you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, customization, and support of SAP solutions within our S/4HANA projects.

Your expertise in ABAP development and functional knowledge of logistics modules will be essential in delivering comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements and drive operational efficiency.

Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAPUI5 development is beneficial, and proficiency in Workflow is considered a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities

1. ABAP Development
   • Develop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEFW objects) to support logistics processes.
   • Utilize ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts to design and implement efficient solutions.
   • Knowledge in using SAP's enhancement framework (BAdI, User-Exits, Enhancement-Spots, Business Transaction Events)
   • Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
   • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
2. Logistics Module Customization
   • Utilize your functional knowledge to customize SAP logistics modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), and Warehouse Management (WM).
   • Configure system settings, master data, and business processes to align with organizational requirements.
   • Provide guidance on best practices and optimal configurations to optimize business processes.
3. S/4HANA Support
   • Provide technical support and maintenance for existing SAP systems, resolving issues and troubleshooting system errors.
   • Participate in S/4HANA migration projects, ensuring smooth transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
   • Conduct impact analysis and provide technical guidance on system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
4. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
   • Document technical designs, configurations, and development activities for reference and future enhancements.
   • Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions, workshops, and documentation.
5. SAP Workflow (Nice to have)
   • Design, configure, and implement SAP Workflow scenarios to automate and streamline logistics processes.
   • Develop custom workflows using SAP Business Workflow tools, ensuring smooth integration with logistics modules.
   • Troubleshoot workflow issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
6. SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAPUI5 Development (Nice to have)
   • Leverage your knowledge of SAP BTP to develop and deploy innovative solutions, leveraging SAP's cloud services and technologies.
   • Develop responsive, user-friendly applications using SAPUI5 framework for web and mobile platforms.
   • Create engaging user interfaces and ensure a seamless user experience.

Your Skills and Experience

• Solid and practical knowledge of SAP technology and SAP architecture, S/4HANA.
• Nice to Have: Fiori, SAPUI5, BTP, SAP Business Workflow
• Support the project/product development team in the implementation of defined processes in SAP (customizing, ABAP development)
• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and design technical solutions
• Experience in SAP development (ABAP/4, ABAP Objects)
• Experience with SAP development tools, such as Eclipse, ADT, SAP GUI and Visual Studio Code
• Develop and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms
• Development of interfaces in the SAP environment (OData/RFC/BAPI/BADI/XML/Webservices)
• Ideally initial practical experience in SAP’s logistical modules (SD/MM/SD/PP/CS/PM/…)
• High willingness to learn: as soon as there is something new, you like to try it out
• Excellent communication skills, service and solution-oriented working style, and high analytical skills
• Use of policies and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of agile project tools: Jira and Confluence
