Job summary

Remote Genie is seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant with strong SAP SD and ABAP expertise. The role involves leading O2C processes, gathering requirements, and delivering techno-functional SAP solutions across global teams.

You will design ABAP solutions, work with RAP, CDS Views, and AMDP, and mentor junior consultants while coordinating onsite and offshore resources to ensure timely project milestones and successful SAP transformations.

Qualifications

Job Title: SAP SD Functional Consultant (SAP SD + ABAP)

Location: Remote (Candidates located in or near Austin, Texas are preferred)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) and advanced ABAP development. The ideal candidate should possess a balanced mix of functional and technical capabilities, along with proven experience in leading complex SAP transformation and enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities:

• Lead and support SAP SD business processes across the Order-to-Cash (O2C) lifecycle.
• Gather, analyze, and translate business into SAP solutions.
• Strong understanding of:
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Customer Contracts
• Equipment Management
• Functional Locations
• Install Base Management
• Provide techno-functional solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Conduct workshops, gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs with business stakeholders.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Design and develop SAP solutions using advanced ABAP technologies.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• ABAP RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
• CDS Views
• AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
• Enhancements, Interfaces, Reports, Forms, and Workflows
• Review technical designs, code quality, and development best practices.
• Support integrations with other SAP and non-SAP systems.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead project discussions with business users and IT stakeholders.
• Coordinate effectively with onsite, offshore, and cross-functional teams.
• Drive project planning, execution, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor junior consultants and developers.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and support activities.

Skills

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP SD and ABAP.
• Strong functional knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes.
• Experience in Contracts, Equipment, Functional Locations, and Install Base processes.
• Hands-on development experience with:
• ABAP RAP
• CDS Views
• AMDP
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience leading global SAP implementation, enhancement, or support projects.
• Ability to work with distributed teams across multiple geographies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and OData services.
• SAP certification in SD and/or S/4HANA is preferred.
