CFS is seeking a senior SAP Technical Delivery Manager in Chicago to oversee the technical delivery of SAP S/4HANA across multiple domains. You will balance hands-on architecture, coding reviews, and leadership to drive the SAP technical roadmap while coordinating internal resources and AMS partners.

The role requires deep SAP expertise, a track record of enterprise implementations, and strong collaboration with IT and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable SAP solutions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP technical delivery across S/4HANA, incl. ABAP, CDS views, custom enhancements, APIs, workflows, and reporting.
• Provide technical leadership for SAP Fiori, UI5, and SAP BTP development initiatives.
• Oversee SAP integrations with Ariba, SuccessFactors, middleware, and external apps.
• Manage SAP security governance, access controls, SOX/ITGC compliance activities.
• Lead blended team of developers, security professionals, consultants, and offshore resources; manage AMS partners.
• Establish development standards, code quality practices, and architecture governance; promote standard-first approach.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to deliver reliable, secure SAP solutions.

Overview – SAP Technical Delivery Manager

Seeking a senior-level SAP technical leader to oversee development, integrations, security, and technical delivery across a large SAP S/4HANA environment. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, managing internal resources and third‑party partners while driving the overall SAP technical roadmap. The position requires someone who can remain involved in architecture, coding reviews, troubleshooting, and technical decision‑making rather than serving solely in a management capacity.

Key Responsibilities – SAP Technical Delivery Manager

• Lead SAP technical delivery across S/4HANA, including ABAP development, CDS views, custom enhancements, APIs, workflows, and reporting solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for SAP Fiori, UI5, and SAP BTP development initiatives, ensuring scalable and supportable solutions.
• Oversee SAP integrations involving SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, middleware platforms, and external business applications.
• Manage SAP security governance, access controls, segregation of duties, audit readiness, and SOX/ITGC compliance activities.
• Lead and mentor a blended team of developers, security professionals, consultants, and offshore resources while managing AMS partners against service expectations and delivery commitments.
• Establish development standards, code quality practices, and architecture governance while promoting a "standard-first" SAP approach to limit unnecessary customizations.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable SAP solutions that support enterprise objectives.

Qualifications – SAP Technical Delivery Manager

• 10+ years of SAP experience with strong technical expertise in ABAP development and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Experience supporting at least one enterprise SAP implementation or transformation project.
• Deep knowledge of ABAP, CDS Views, OData services, SAP integrations, and SAP development frameworks.
• Experience with SAP Fiori, UI5, SAP BTP, and modern SAP extension strategies.
• Familiarity with SAP security, compliance, SOX controls, audit processes, and access management.
• Proven success leading SAP consulting partners, managed services providers, and offshore development teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
