Job summary

Astyra Corporation seeks a SAP System Administrator to serve as the SAP HANA SME for the enterprise SAP landscape, administering 100+ production and non-production HANA databases and providing Basis expertise across ABAP and Java stacks.

The role supports on-call duty, performs system checks, and coordinates patches, upgrades, and migrations, including the migration to NS2 S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, on a 1-year hybrid contract in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• SAP HANA database administration: install, configure, patch, tune, backup and recovery, and System Replication across production and non-production, Required 5 Years
• SAP NetWeaver Basis administration on ABAP and Java stacks: transports, kernel and SPS updates, system copies, performance troubleshooting, Required 8 Years
• Enterprise SAP operations at scale: 24x7 on call/duty manager rotation, daily system checks, incident and problem management in Solution Manager, Required 5 Years
• SAP OS/DB migration, upgrade, or S/4HANA conversion work, including migration of SAP landscapes to cloud hosting such as SAP RISE or SAP NS2, Desired 3 Years
• SAP landscape administration on AWS or comparable public cloud, including networking, storage, and backup integration, Desired 2 Years

Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise across all SAP products used by EBS
• HANA SME for 100 databases
• Coordinate and implement technical changes and enhancements to SAP systems
• Operational support for our duty manager on-call rotation
• Morning systems check and reporting status
• Assigned basis liaison on EBS Solution Manager problem messages
• Execute HANA System Replication refreshes and system copies, supporting the migration to SAP NS2
• Apply HANA revisions, SAP kernel updates, and support package stacks across the S/D/Q/P landscape
• Monitor database performance and capacity and remediate issues before they affect availability

SAP System Administrator

Description

This serves as the SAP HANA subject matter expert for the enterprise SAP landscape that runs the systems of record. The contractor will administer and support more than 100 production and non-production SAP HANA databases, provide SAP Basis expertise across all SAP products used by EBS, coordinate and implement technical changes, patches and upgrades, participate in the duty manager on-call rotation and daily system checks, and support the in-flight migration of the EBS landscape to SAP NS2 S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on SAP HANA administration experience at enterprise scale - including System Replication performance tuning, backup and recovery, and upgrade and migration work - combined with broad SAP NetWeaver basis administration across both ABAP and Java stacks and is comfortable owning production availability in a large, heavily integrated public sector landscape.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA e.g. C_HANATEC or equivalent HANA certification
• SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration SAP NetWeaver / OS-DB
• Experience with SAP RISE, SAP NS2, or S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition migrations
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager technical monitoring ChaRM and/or SAP Focused Run
• Experience running SAP landscapes on AWS, including AWS GovCloud
• Experience supporting SAP in a public sector or FedRAMP/Gov RAMP-regulated environment
• Experience with SAP integration to OpenText document management
• Experience with SAP BW on HANA, SAP CRM, GRC/Access Control, or Enterprise Portal
