Job summary

talented it inc is seeking an SAP Basis Administrator with expertise in HANA to manage SAP upgrades, installations, and support. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring SAP HANA in diverse environments, ensuring performance, and managing migration activities.

The ideal candidate has significant experience and is capable of providing coaching and technical guidance to teams. This is a long-term contract position located in Naperville, Illinois.

Qualifications

• At least 3 full life cycle migration experience in SAP.
• Hands-on experience with SAP HANA Appliance.
• Ability to conduct knowledge transfer and coaching.

SAP Basis Administration with Specialization in SAP OS DB Migration to HANA, SAP HANA Installation, Implementations, Post Go-Live Maintenance, and Support.

Responsibilities

• At least 3 full life cycle migration experience; performed SAP upgrades, system refreshes, and installations on different DB and OS, including SA HANA DR/DT, OS/DB migrations.
• Hands‑on end‑to‑end monitoring of SAP HANA Appliance using various techniques.
• Implemented DT SAP HANA Appliance in a scale‑out architecture with multiple nodes.
• Conducted knowledge transfer, coaching, training, and built SAP technical teams; guided teams in troubleshooting technical and performance issues during and after go‑live.
• Worked on SAP ECC eHP5/eHP6 patches, SAP BOBJ Data Service 4.x, and SAP NetWeaver 7.3.
• Performed hardware sizing for SAP components on Unix and Windows platforms.
• Installed and configured SAP NetWeaver products such as ECC 6.0, BI 7.3, BO 4.0, EP 7.0, NW 7.0, and Solution Manager 7.0.
• Conducted technical upgrades, EHP upgrades (1–5) for ERP and NW (ABAP, Java, and ABAP+Java) systems.
• Managed system copies and migration in heterogeneous and homogeneous environments.
• Implemented Solution Manager, configured CCMS, Early Watch, Maintenance Optimizer, and applied kernel upgrades, ABAP & Java support packages.
• Worked in cluster environments of SAP & Oracle, performed fail‑over testing, etc.
• Performed SID changes, hostname changes, merging CI and DB servers.
• Executed database backup, restore, and recovery using BRTOOLS and other utilities.
• Certifications are an added advantage.
