Job summary

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking a US-based SAP SuccessFactors Technical Lead to guide the implementation and integration of SF modules for government clients. You will oversee team delivery, ensure alignment with client goals, and coordinate with stakeholders across multiple government programs.

The role requires 5+ years in SAP SuccessFactors HCM ABAP development, CPI, API integrations, and a proven track record in leading technical teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years SAP SuccessFactors HCM ABAP development and CPI experience.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors integrations (CPI) and API integrations.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP, ABAP Objects and ABAP Workbench.

GP Strategies Government Solutions is seeking US-based SAP SuccessFactors Technical Team Lead. Candidates must be U.S. based and U.S. Citizens. This is a full-time, benefitted position, remote position.

Overview

The SAP SuccessFactors Technical Lead will lead our technical team including all aspects of assigned projects regarding the implementation of SAP modules at the direction of the Effective People project management team and in collaboration with the client team, interfacing with the client, project team members, and senior management to meet both clients and company expectations. The SAP SuccessFactors Technical Lead is expected to be team members for large and small-scale projects as an individual contributor, in addition to their leadership duties.

Role and Responsibilities

Operational

• Capable of wearing multiple hats simultaneously (i.e., strategic, and operational)
• Gather business/technical requirements, create/maintain requirements workbooks (and related documents), working with Effective People and client teams from concept to go-live.
• Ability to identify and deploy processes, systems, execution, documentation, and other improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with and solicit (open to) input from senior leadership, peers, directs, external partners, and customers.
• Perform system configuration, testing, and deployment.

Project Accountability

• Serve as the single point of accountability for all aspects of their assigned project(s) workstream(s).
• Direct and control all activities to align with and meet client expectations within your assigned workstream.
• Obtain required approvals (e.g. requirements, workbooks, testing results, etc.).

Project Execution

• Maintain project documentation and prepare/deliver project progress reports.
• Conduct internal project review meetings and act as a project information source.
• Perform final review of deliverables.
• Deliver quality solutions.
• Ensure their deliverables are on time and on/under budget.
• Identify and communicate project risks.
• Deliver to project scope and communicate change activities.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum of 2+ years managing/leading technical teams.
• Minimum of 5+ years SAP SuccessFactors HCM ABAP development and CPI experience.
• Knowledge of the SAP ABAP programming language is a must.
• Experienced with ECC BIB (Infoporter) ECC Replications, and ECP P2P Replications.
• Experience with SuccessFactors CPI and API integrations (Integrations Center).
• Experience with object-oriented programming, ABAP Objects and ABAP Workbench
• Participating in the full software development life cycle is a must from concept and design to testing, deployment and maintenance.
• Willing to remain current with SAP/SuccessFactors HCM technologies.
• Knowledgeable with HR policies and practices, and ability to anticipate future trends.
• Requirements gathering from business users and translating them into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Design, code, test and document new features and functionality.
• Detailed and results-oriented individuals take the initiative to solve problems.
• Ability to communicate with team members and customers concisely and confidently, both verbal and written.
• Ability and desire to share knowledge with customers and mentor the project team.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work closely with multiple internal and external organizations.
• US Citizen required.
• Willing to travel up to 25% travel, which may at times be required.
