Job summary

NW Natural is seeking a SAP Solutions Architect in Portland, Oregon to lead architecture analysis, design and development of new SAP functionality and integrations. You will design end-to-end SAP solutions, customize and configure SAP software, and collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into SAP configurations.

In this role you will mentor the team, monitor quality, contribute to roadmaps, and provide senior-level support for SAP projects and production support,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 6 years SAP experience.
• 6 years configuring and enabling business processes within SAP.
• 6 years implementing SAP solutions across FI, PM, MM, CO.
• 6 years developing solution designs and presenting to managerial and executive stakeholders.

Job Duties

• Manage architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integrations within SAP ecosystems.
• Design end-to-end SAP solutions to meet business objectives by translating requirements into technical designs aligned with industry best practices.
• Customize and configure SAP software, defining custom business processes, configuring system settings, and developing custom extensions or integrations.
• Contribute as a broad SAP resource across modules such as Plant Maintenance (PM), Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO) and Materials Management (MM).
• Understand end-to-end business processes and how SAP configurations impact each domain; provide holistic, multi-functional solutions.
• Develop scalable architectures for SAP solutions and lead configuration efforts ensuring optimal system setup.
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into SAP configurations; document and present designs to executives, governance teams and contributors.
• Coordinate with support teams to bridge business needs and technical solutions; provide guidance, troubleshoot issues, and share best practices.
• Monitor work quality, ensure standards are followed, participate in product roadmaps and strategy, and mentor the broader team.
• Provide senior-level support for SAP projects and production support; mitigate risks and address challenges. Assist with training, product and solution documentation and ensure customer satisfaction throughout projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field, plus 6 years of progressive post-bachelor work experience as an SAP Consultant, System Integration Engineer, Lead/Architect, Analyst, or related position. Experience must include:

• 6 years configuring and enabling business processes within SAP
• 6 years implementing SAP solutions and supporting diverse functional areas (finance, operations, human resources, supply chain and engineering)
• 6 years working in both on-premises and cloud-based SAP environments
• 6 years utilizing SAP modules such as Finance, MM, and PM
• 6 years developing solution designs and presenting technical responses to business challenges to managerial and executive stakeholders

Salary: $186,304.08 per year

Annual Target Incentive: Grade 24, 12.0% target. Targets are based on eligible earnings and performance; payout may range 0% - 200% of target. Must be employed by September 30 to receive prorated payout.
