SAP Solution/Technical Architect (Security) – Remote (U.S. Travel) – Full Time

My client who is a leading Security Solution provider is currently looking to onboard an experienced SAP Solution/Technical Architect with a cross-industry background in managing/architecting medium to large scale SAP implementations and transformations.

Essential experience includes a very strong hands-on SAP technical skill set, knowledge of SAP Authorization and of the underlying SAP Security, as well as strong client management skills.

This role will allow individuals to be based anywhere within the U.S. You can expect somewhat regular travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. Due to industry requirements, U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders are encouraged to apply.

The Role:

• Manage Technical architecture analysis, research, design and development of new functionality and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems
• Design new solution extensions based on customer requirements
• Provide architecture and design guidance to the development team
• Guide the engineering team to develop, configure and implement the solution as per the product development standards to meet business requirements
• Monitor the work of the technical team and ensure standards are adhered to in accordance with SAP’s Solution Extensions
• Ensure technical integrity of projects, making sure that common technical elements are leveraged, and that work is not duplicated
• Participate in product roadmap and product strategy definition.
• Engage with leading customers and strategic partners to identify and validate requirements and translate to solution design
• Lead team in driving and delivering customer solutions
• Performing integration architecture and infrastructure design activities
• Ensure customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication throughout projects

The Candidate:

• 4+ years’ work experience as a SAP Solution Architect in either the consulting or end user space
• 10-15 year hands-on background working within the SAP space (ECC or S/4 HANA)
• Strong understanding of SAP best practices
• Must have excellent expertise in ABAP development with a very good SAP cross module understanding (FI, MM, PP, QM, SD, PLM, APO).
• Must have extensive development experience using ABAP objects, HANA SQL Programming, SAP Fiori Developments, OData developments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) based design & development and ABAP Restful Programming Model
• Experience with SAP BW, BW/4HANA is highly advantageous
• Experience with Java based development is a plus.
• Must be an expert in analyzing, creating system specifications, and developing tests and implementing business solutions utilizing SAP technologies.
• Experience working with interfaces in addition to Web Services, such as Java connectors and Rest APIs communicating with non-SAP applications.
• Must have good experience with SAP security concepts and must have implemented authorization checks in ABAP objects.
• Experience in working with SAP Cloud technologies like SAC and other SAP Cloud technologies.
• Experience managing projects and working with a team of Engineers.
• Expertise in completing Solution demos and presentations to customers/business stakeholders/architects.
• Able to report both verbally and in writing to executive level.
• BS degree in computer science or engineering
