Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Production Planning specialist to lead engineer-to-order and project-based manufacturing efforts using SAP S/4HANA PP/DS.

You will collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Digital Manufacturing to establish scalable planning that supports production readiness and effective capacity utilization in a transformer manufacturing greenfield environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP Production Planning experience in manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent combinations considered.
• Hands-on experience supporting engineer-to-order, project-based, or complex discrete manufacturing through SAP S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and adoption of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning processes for engineer-to-order and project-based manufacturing.
• Design and standardize planning processes spanning SAP PS/WBS-driven demand, MRP, embedded PP/DS, capacity planning, production orders, and master data.
• Translate operational requirements into scalable SAP solutions aligned with global templates and cross-functional needs.
• Ensure integration between SAP Production Planning and related processes including project systems and cross-functional interfaces.
• Provide functional leadership through testing, deployment, user adoption, go-live, and stabilization.

• Ensure effective integration between SAP Production Planning and related business processes, including project-based manufacturing, supply chain, quality, maintenance, finance, and manufacturing execution systems.
• Provide functional leadership through testing, deployment, user adoption, go-live, and stabilization.

What You Bring

• 7+ years of SAP Production Planning experience in manufacturing environments. Those with more or less experience may be considered at a higher or lower level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and directly relevant experience will be considered.
• Hands‑on experience supporting engineer‑to‑order, project‑based, or complex discrete manufacturing through SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, embedded PP/DS, capacity planning, production orders, BOMs, routings, work centers, production versions, and manufacturing master data.
• Experience with SAP Production Planning and project-based manufacturing, including integration with SAP Project Systems (PS) and collaboration across related functions such as MM, QM, PM, EWM/WM, Finance, and manufacturing execution systems.
• Experience supporting an SAP transformation, S/4HANA implementation, or greenfield manufacturing deployment.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Experience in industrial, heavy manufacturing, capital equipment, transformer, or other complex engineered‑product environments is preferred.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
• If not already located in Charlotte, NC, must be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided.
