Strategic Analysis, Inc. is seeking a SAP Security Specialist to support the security posture of Special Access Programs (SAPs). This role requires understanding program protection, classification architectures, PHYSEC, PERSEC, OPSEC, COMSEC, and DoD SAP security governance.

You will assist in developing security architectures, draft DD 254 sections, and help ensure compliance with EO 13526 and DoD manuals. Travel is limited to the region as needed.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5+ years of DoD/IC experience or equivalent
  • TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph preferred
  • Foundational SAP security concepts and security posture knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining security architectures for classified programs
  • Support research and development of program protection strategies
  • Apply and monitor security requirements (physical, information, personnel, industrial) for programs
  • Draft sections of DD 254s and other security documentation
  • Familiarize with EO 13526, NISPOM, DoD manuals, and SAP security manuals
  • Support accreditation of SAP facilities, SCIFs, AIS systems
  • Create and review security documentation (SCGs, PPPs, Test Security Plans)
  • Provide support for meetings and program reviews
  • Assist with OPSEC analysis and support activities
  • Perform administrative tasks (minutes, visitor control, other duties)

Job description

Strategic Analysis, Inc. is in search of a SAP Security Specialist supports the security posture of Special Access Programs (SAPs) by assisting senior staff in various security disciplines. This role requires a foundational understanding of program protection, classification architectures, Physical Security (PHYSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), SAP Program Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Communications Security (COMSEC), and security principles governing classified activities.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the development and maintenance of security architectures for classified programs.

  • Support the research and development of program protection strategies.

  • Assist in the application and monitoring of appropriate security requirements (physical, information, personnel, industrial) for specific programs.

  • Draft sections of DD 254s and other security documentation under the guidance of senior staff.

  • Develop familiarity with Executive Order 13526, the NISPOM, DoD Information Security Manuals, and DoD SAP Security Manuals.

  • Support the creation, processing, coordination, and approval of physical security (SAP Facility and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and Automated Information Systems (AIS)) accreditations

  • Assist in the creation and review of security documentation (e.g., SCGs, PPPs, Test Security Plans, etc.).

  • Provide support for meetings and program reviews.

  • Assist with OPSEC analysis and support activities.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing meeting minutes, assisting with visitor control, and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant DoD or IC experience;additional years of experience may be substituted for a higher degree

  • Candidates must hold a TS/SCI with the willingness and ability to pass a CI polygraph; it is highly desirable for candidates to have taken and passed CI polygraph within the past three years

  • Foundational knowledge of SAP security principles.

  • Understanding of physical, personnel, and industrial security requirements within the SAP context.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
