Job summary

Bristlecone, a leading supply chain analytics partner, seeks a senior SAP Data & Analytics architect to drive enterprise analytics across SAP Datasphere, BW/4HANA, and SAC. You will design data models, integration strategies, and roadmaps in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

You will lead end-to-end implementations, conduct requirement workshops, and deliver scalable analytics solutions for Global 2000 clients in life sciences, retail, manufacturing, and high-tech industries.

Qualifications

• Total 10+ years of experience in SAP Data & Analytics including SAP BW/BW on HANA/BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere and SAC.
• Must have worked on at least 4-5 end-to-end implementation projects, including at least 1 end-to-end SAP Datasphere implementation and at least 1 end-to-end SAC reporting/dashboarding delivery.
• Strong expertise in designing enterprise-wide analytics architecture, data models, integration strategies and target-state analytics roadmaps.
• Must be able to lead business process / requirement gathering / solution architecture workshop sessions, and convert functional requirements into technical designs.
• Deep understanding of the analytics delivery lifecycle - from blueprinting and design through development, testing, deployment and post go-live support.

About the Role:

• Total 10+ years of experience in SAP Data & Analytics, covering SAP BW / BW on HANA / BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).


• Must have worked on at least 4-5 end to end implementation projects, including at least 1 end to end SAP Datasphere implementation and at least 1 end to end SAC reporting / dashboarding delivery.


• Strong expertise in designing enterprise-wide analytics architecture, data models, integration strategies and target-state analytics roadmaps.


• Must be able to lead business process / requirement gathering / solution architecture workshop sessions, and convert functional requirements into technical designs.


• Deep understanding of the analytics delivery lifecycle - from blueprinting and design through development, testing, deployment and post go-live support.

SAP Datasphere (core)

• Strong hands-on experience across Data Builder and Business Builder.


• Spaces, data products and space-level governance.


• Semantic modelling and analytical models.


• Data integration and replication frameworks - data flows, replication flows and task chains.


• BW Bridge and BW modernization initiatives.


• Implementation of data integration, data quality and data governance solutions using SAP Datasphere.


• Datasphere performance optimization, data load tuning and system troubleshooting.


• Hands-on creation of SAC stories, dashboards and analytic applications - hierarchies, geo maps, linked analysis, calculated measures & dimensions, blending etc.


• Experience with SAC live and import connections on Datasphere and BW/4HANA, including connection setup and troubleshooting.


• SAC security, roles and authorization concepts, designed in line with Datasphere-level security.


• Story / model performance optimization and support for business adoption of dashboards.

Data foundation & integration

• Working knowledge of BW / BW/4HANA modelling objects - ADSOs, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views, Transformations, DTPs, Process Chains and Open Hub.


• SAP and non-SAP data integration using standard extractors, generic extractors, CDS-based extraction and the ODP framework.


• Must have strong HANA and SQL knowledge.


• Experience in SAP BW to BW/4HANA migration and SAP BW to SAP Datasphere modernization programs.


• Strong problem-solving skills, self-directed, and capable of leading and mentoring a team.


• Ability to engage with business and IT stakeholders, understand complex reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable solution designs.


• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to deliver results against aggressive timelines and at short notice.


• Should be flexible / willing to work across the delivery landscape, including and not limited to Agile application development, support and deployment.


• Good understanding of SAP modules like MM, SD, FI, PP and/or QM would be an added advantage.

Additional Experiences are plus:

• Deep ABAP technical skills - BW user-exits & customer enhancements, ABAP CDS, AMDP, performance tuning and analysis of ABAP logs / dumps.


• Knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), Datasphere strategy and cloud analytics transformations.


• SAC Planning experience (planning models, data actions, allocations).


• SAP Analysis for Office (AFO) and SAP BO reporting exposure.


• AI knowledge and experience.


• Experience conducting analytics landscape assessments, migration readiness assessments and roadmap definition exercises.
