Job summary

Lonza Group in Houston, TX is seeking a seasoned Principal Program Manager/IT Solution Architect to lead SAP S/4HANA initiatives and drive ERP transformation. You will align finance, controlling, and digital teams to deliver scalable, standardized technology solutions in a fast-paced setting.

This role requires deep SAP S/4HANA expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate across global teams while traveling as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in IT Architecture, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT architecture experience with ERP platforms and business process transformation.
• Proven experience leading or supporting SAP implementation—Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA, particularly Management Accounting, Product Costing, Controlling, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with process mapping, data migration, and SAP system configuration.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize SAP S/4HANA solutions supporting Management Accounting processes, including Product Costing, Financial Reporting, Variance Analysis, and Cost Management.
• Partner with Finance, Controlling, Digital, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, standardized, and business-aligned technology solutions.
• Act as the bridge between business requirements and technical capabilities, ensuring solutions meet both operational and strategic objectives.
• Lead solution architecture discussions, provide technical guidance, and support continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes.
• Drive innovation and operational excellence through the adoption of best practices and standardized SAP S/4HANA solutions.
• Support process mapping, data migration, system configuration, and the successful delivery of transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to improve product costing transparency, reporting quality, and business decision-making.
