Position Title: SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant

Location: Remote

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant with a deep understanding of the utilities industry, especially in regulatory, consolidation, budgeting, and project systems processes. This role is critical for supporting and enhancing finance operations in a public utility environment, with a specific focus on compliance with FERC regulations and domain-specific reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and optimization of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules, including FI, CO, FM, and Project Systems.
• Ensure compliance with FERC and other utility-specific regulatory requirements.
• Support financial consolidation and reporting processes.
• Design and optimize budgeting and planning processes within SAP.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored SAP solutions.
• Conduct system configuration, testing, documentation, and user training.
• Partner with IT and finance teams to integrate SAP with other financial systems and tools.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SAP Finance with at least 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong knowledge of utility industry accounting and reporting standards.
• Proven experience with FERC regulatory reporting.
• Hands-on expertise in SAP modules: FI, CO, PS, FM, and related planning and budgeting tools.
• Deep understanding of consolidation processes and best practices.
• Experience with utilities-specific SAP enhancements and business processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other planning tools.
• Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP in a utilities context.
• SAP certification in Finance or related modules

Pay rate: $80-$110hr based on experience and skillset
