Job summary

Ford Motors is seeking a SAP S/4HANA FICO Consultant for a 12+ month contract in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The role requires 7+ years of IT experience with hands-on FI/CO configuration across FI-GL, AP, AR, AA, and CO modules, plus strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include solution design, integration planning, testing, and end-to-end financial process support. On-site four days a week with a local candidate preference.

Responsibilities

• Lead configuration work in SAP S/4HANA FI/CO for FI-GL, AP, AR, AA.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and architects to define solutions.
• Develop high-level SAP architecture designs and integration plans.
• Define test strategies, guidelines, and processes for SAP modules.
• Support month-end close programs and ledger/sub-ledger knowledge.
• Ensure best practices for CI/CD and agile development in SAP projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• 7+ years of configuration experience in S4 FI and CO modules: FI-GL, AP, AR, AA required. CO-PC, CO-CCA, CO-ML, CO-PA
• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (like agile) and technologies
• Assess the requirements of the software application or service and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration method, deployment strategy, etc.
• Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of the application
• Collaborate with cross functional teams like product owners, designers, architects etc.
• Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies and processes in line with organization vision, industry regulations and market best practices.
• Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Familiar with programming practices, such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• FCV/FCTA stand Program knowledge

Skills Required:

Experience Required:

• Engineer 3 Exp: Prac. In 2 coding lang. or adv. Prac. in 1 lang. 6+ years in IT; 4+ years in development
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

Experience Preferred:

• Experience working in a multi-company code, multi-currency environment is required.
• Ability to perform in-depth hands-on configuration of required SAP FICO modules.
• Analyze problems and troubleshoot to find the root cause.
• Ability to read and debug ABAP code (but not perform any technical development).
• Good knowledge of integration with other S4 modules – Purchasing, Sales and Production
• Development experience using various SAP development technologies including but not limited to the following: ABAP, Integration, and UI tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a Product Driven Agile Organization.
