Job summary

Schaeffler Global Services India Pvt Ltd in Indiana is seeking a seasoned SAP PM / Plant Maintenance consultant to support and implement SAP S/4HANA solutions across Production Services and Plant Maintenance, including consulting, conception, rollout, operation, and continuous enhancement of IT solutions.

• 7 years of relevant professional experience in SAP PM / Plant Maintenance as a consultant or engineer.
• Strong technical understanding of ABAP, Fiori, SAP Notes and upgrades.
• Clear English communication and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support and implementation of SAP S/4HANA solutions in Production Services and Plant Maintenance.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into detailed designs and specifications.
• Design, configure, enhance and support SAP PM in SAP ERP / S/4HANA.
• Coordinate testing, deployment and ensure quality gates are met.
• Contribute to maintenance activities and system integration efforts.
• Document decisions and changes in a traceable way.

Your Key Responsibilities

Task

Support and implementation of SAP S/4HANA solutions in Production Services and Plant Maintenance, including consulting, conception, rollout, operation, and continuous enhancement of sustainable IT solutions.

• Analyze business needs, IT requirements, user experience aspects, and non-functional requirements, and translate them into detailed solutions, integration, and technical specifications.
• Discuss and refine requirements with business stakeholders, technical specialists, and vendors to create clear, robust, and implementable solution designs.
• Design, customize, configure, enhance, and support SAP PM solutions and Applications in an SAP ERP / S/4HANA environment.
• Define sustainable SAP PM solutions in close alignment with business processes and the overall IT and enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate with development teams to track implementation progress, support technical clarifications, and ensure solution quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Document solution decisions, technical specifications, and changes in a structured and traceable way.
• Plan, coordinate, and support full-scope testing activities, including unit testing, functional testing, and ensure successful business approval.
• Support the deployment of solutions into production and ensure compliance with defined quality gates.
• Contribute to software maintenance activities such as OSS notes, support packages, upgrades, and release-related changes.
• Support process harmonization and system integration activities as part of the S/4HANA transformation program.

Your Qualifications

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• 7 years of relevant professional experience inSAP PM / Plant Maintenance as a consultant, solution engineer, application engineer, or in a similar role.
• Technical and Integration Knowledge
• Good technical understanding of ABAP development, debugging, enhancements, interfaces, Fiori, SAP Notes, and SAP upgrades is required.
• Communication and OwnershipThe candidate should communicate clearly in English, work independently, take ownership, and collaborate effectively with business users, IT teams, and external consultants.
• Willingness to Develop FurtherStrong motivation to further develop as aSolution Engineerand to continuously expand both technical and business knowledge.
• SAP PM / S/4HANA ExperiencePractical experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and/or SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
• Ability to Translate Business Requirements into SolutionsAbility to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, practical, and sustainable functional or technical solutions.
